Words or silence - which is more powerful?

Toastmaster speech #2 (Understanding Your Communication Style)

The best way to illustrate my second target speech is probably through an infographic.
As a translator and linguist, and especially as a teacher, I use the power of words. To put it more bluntly, I live off of words. But as a coach, I use and believe in the art of silence. Silence is many times more powerful than words.
Coaching is usually associated with the skill to ask great, thought-provoking questions.
And it is true, it is an important skill. But what people usually do not give credit for to coaches is silence. Being able to empathise through silence and make silence not awkard is also an important skill.
